F.A.Q.

If you still have any questions unanswered, feel free to email us!

how do you define masc?
Butches, studs, mascs, toms- globally, a 'masculine' presentation can vary greatly with the gender norms of the region. as long as you would describe their gender presentation as masc within the guidelines of their culture and time-period, it's perfect for the zine!

'kay but what about women?
The whole spectrum: trans women, women-aligned (self-identified) non-binary people, and ciswomen. Also! We're very open to characters who identify with lesbian as a gender itself.

Do I need to be a lesbian to apply?
We do hope this zine attracts many sapphics who want to create more sapphics! At the same time, anyone is welcome to apply. We will not ask your identity. That said, we will be looking for at least 1 previous sapphic work in your portfolio or sample images- so be considering that now!

Is this NSFW friendly?
Yes, all contributors will need to be 18 years old or older in order to apply, even if they are not going to contribute a NSFW piece. The zine will contain both NSFW and SFW pieces in one volume, up to contributors discretion. Content-wise, we will be open to a variety of kinks and NSFW features but at this time will not be looking to include incest, furries, sexual depictions of any character under 18, beastiality, explicit non-con. We're more than happy to take emailed questions if you need granular distinction on your idea. We're not cops, just trying to make sure this gets to print.

what is your position on AI?
no AI of any kind is allowed in our zines, and no contributors who use it in their portfolios will be welcome to apply. if we're made aware of AI usage in the planning or creation of any works from any contributor, they'll be removed from the zine and permanently banned.

> Will this be compensated?
Contributors will receive the full zine and merch bundle for free, regardless of sales, and can buy more at cost for sale on their own after. Since we're keeping costs as low as possible, with any leftover for donation, we will not be otherwise providing monetary compensation for Volume 1.

What kind of merch will you be making?
We're open to hearing pitches from interested contributors, but generally we'll be looking at paper goods- such as stickers, prints, bookmarks, etc. No wooden items, plastic items or rubber items.
